Mizzou vs kansas
Columbia, MO - 9/6/2025 - The University of Missouri welcomed the University of Kansas for the renewal of the Border War Rivalry for the first time since 2011, and the first time in Columbia since 2005. Both Missouri and Kansas entered the game unbeaten. Kansas was 2-0 and Missouri was 1-0. Missouri would go on to win 42-31.
The sold out Farout Field was rocking early in the first half as Ahmad Hardy would run it in from 32 yards out to give Missouri a 6-0 lead. Kansas would go on to score 21 unanswered points, including a fumble recovery for a touchdown, this would end the 1st quarter 21-6 Kansas.
Missouri’s defense would come out in the 2nd quarter and dominate. Holding Kansas to just 4 offensive plays. 1 of those plays ended in a safety thanks to a sack by Zion Young. Missouri would score 15 unanswered as they would go into halftime tied 21-21.
Kansas would take the lead early in the 3rd quarter with a field goal making the score 24-21, but Missouri would answer right back on the next drive that saw Beau Pribula connecting with Brett Norfleet for his 1st of 2 touchdown catches on the day. The 3rd quarter would end with Missouri up 28-24.
The back and fourth wouldn’t stop in the 4th quarter either. Kansas would take their second drive of the quarter in for a touchdown making it 31-28 Kansas. Missouri would convert 2 4th down plays on their next drive. A 4th and 7 and a 4th and 1. The 4th and 1 would see Pribula connecting with a wide open Norfleet for his 2nd touchdown of the game. Missouri would cap it off with a Jamal Roberts 63 yard touchdown run giving us our final of 42-31 Missouri.
Missouri would almost double Kansas total offensive yards with 595 to 226. Kansas would end the game with just 3 rushing yards on the day, which was held in check all day by the Missouri defense. Josiah Trotter for Missouri had an outstanding game. Whenever Missouri needed a stop it seemed Trotter was there to make it. Pribula shined again going 30-39 passing with 334 yards and 3 touchdowns
